I could not get the journal abbreviation into my reference list, even after I specifically ehanged the style to abbreviation 1, never appear in my reference list. I really apprciate your help.

Have you imported a Journals terms list into your library? These are library specific, so you need to perform this step on any new library you create. the Endnote website has this FAQ.
An alternative description is here on the U of Queensland website. They also have a nice collection of terms lists to import (the appropriate “Display” link for your subject area).
