I have an Endnote X2 windows library that my trial version of Endnote X5 for the Mac will not open. I get the error message “The document “library.enl” could not be opened”. I see an associated library .DATA folder. Suggestions?
Make sure you transferred the library between computers using the Compressed Library method outlined here:

Thanks, Jason. I had to use the recovery tool. Sorry to be so long in responding. Start of the semester and all.
This does not work in my case. I had to send it to the center. But now this issue has reappeared.
