Line Break in in-text citation

I am inserting figures into my Word document. Instead of having:

This is the text of my paragraph. (Figure 1) Here is more text blah blah blah.

I get the following:

This is the text of my paragraph. (

Figure 1) Here is more text blah blah blah.

How do I get rid of this line break?

Found my problem. I was editing the captions of my figures to have them be one line further below the figure. I was inserting the new line just before “Figure 1” and therefore inside the field of the in-text citation. So by not putting the new line at the beginning of the caption I resolved my problem.
