I’m using X5 on Windows 10. Try though I may, I can’t seem to reduce the line spaces between bibliography entries from two to one. The entries are now

How do I eliminate that extra space between entries? Thanks.
You should be able to modify the line spaces using the EndNote tools. In EndNote itself, click on the Tools menu > Cite While You Write > Format Bibliography. Click on the Layout tab to modify the “Space After” each bibliographic entry. Click OK to update the bibliography.
Are the extra line due to paragraph settings, or an extra paragraph or two?
If the first, I would look at is the Format Bibliography Layout (which you can get to from the word document, X6 ribbon and click in on the little dropdown doohickey, which opens the dialog box) and then looking at Layout tab. There you can set Single spacing and space after, as well as hanging indent or paragraph indentation.
If it is a real extra paragraph, You should also look at the outputstyle layout settings. See if there is a “paragraph” return in the start of end each reference there (which will not be overridden, I don’t think, by the approach above). At the bottom of that one, you can also set indent settings, so it is always applied (which is a setting you can also specify in the output style’s layout, an option at the very bottom of the options).
Modifying the Layout option in the style’s Bibliography section did the trick. I had each entry beginning and ending with a full return. This created the two-line separation between the entries. Eliminating the return before each entry and retaining the return after each entry did the trick. Thanks folks.
Just in case there are other people who are looking for this information - if you need to change the line space to be a spacing other than single line, 1.5 or double - you will need to change this in the paragraph style within word document. Go to home tab > styles > expand the styles menu by clicking on the little button on the bottom right hand.
