MLA Annotated Bibliography

I didn’t see an Annotated style for MLA 8, but did see one for MLA.

Can/should I use he MLA 8 and then just insert the annotations after the fact, or is the annotated MLA equal to or close enough to MLA 8 to suffice?

Hello Charles,

The MLA Annotated avaialble on the EndNote website is based on the 7th edition of the MLA handbook.

If you want a version of the MLA Annotated 8th edition then you can download and install the copy attached to this email.

You would unzip the file then:

Double-click on the downloaded file to open it in the EndNote software.

Click the File menu in EndNote and select Save As.

 Click Save.

 Close the style window.

You can now delete the original file  the style has been added to EndNote.

In order to have the Annotations show up in your document in either style you would first need to add the Annotations to the Research Notes field inside of the references in your library.

Let us know if you have any questions or if this does not resolve the issue.
