I input a book with tiwo authors. I input both authors using the same format.
The intext cite looks fine, but the bibliograpphy printed LastName, FirstInitial. MiddleInitial on the first author, and then FirstInitial. MiddleInitial. LastName on the second, as in

Should not both be LastName first? What setting is it I need to fix here?

It sounds like the “Other authors” setting is set to “John Doe” instead of: Doe, John.
Check the output style by:
-
Go to the Endnote toolbar, select Edit > Output Styles > Edit [name of the style you’re using].
-
In the output style’s dialog box locate the Bibliography section then click on “Author Name”. On the right-side, check that “Other authors” is set to: Doe, John. (If not, click the pull-down menu to change the selection.) See attached image.
-
Close the output style to save the modification. Note that the change will be saved as a new output style which adds the word “Copy” to the file name. Change EndNote and MS Word to use the new output style.
