Is anyone able to successfully use the New Yokr PL online search connection in EndNote X6? I keep getting “Domain name not found. Verify the Server Address in the connection file.” I’m using the latest connection file for NYPL available from EndNote.

The New York PL connection file (attachd) works for me w/EndNote X6.0.1 (attach. You might try using the attached file or downloading and installing a new one.

Thanks for posting this. Upon quick investigation, I notice that the EndNote connection file you posted has this for the URL: ilsstaff.nypl.org , while the one that EndNote posts on their website is catalog.nypl.org. The former works and the latter doesn’t. Thanks for posting this!

Thanks for the update. I used the connection file that came prepackaged with X6 - odd that the file wasn’t updated on the EndNote website but hopefully it’s corrected soon.

Happy searching of the NYPL catalog.

I’m using Endnote for Mac, X7, and I can’t seem to get this connection file to work. I’m getting the same

“Domain name not found. Verify the Server Address in the connection file” error.

Any suggestions?

The EndNote X7 pre-packaged New York PL connection file works for me. You might try downloading a new connection file.
