Order of references in word

Hey

I am trying to insert my references in numerical order with the output style of Nature. This however does not work. I do get the numbers, but they are all randomly distributed throughout the text I wrote. The first reference is numbered one, but the second in my text is numbered 10, and the next 16. Numbers in between come back later on in the text. How can I change this?
