The style downloaded from the Endnote support website for the journal General and Comparative Endocrinology does not seem to be the correct one.
According to the ionstructions:
Text: Indicate references by number(s) in square brackets in line with the text. The actual authors can be referred to, but the reference number(s) must always be given. Reference in square bracket should correspond with numbered item in reference list.
Example: “… as demonstrated [3,6]. Barnaby and Jones [8] obtained a different result …”
List: The list of references is arranged alphabetically in the reference section of the manuscript and then numbered (numbers in square brackets).
Examples:
Reference to a journal publication:
[1] J. van der Geer, J.A.J. Hanraads, R.A. Lupton, The art of writing a scientific article, J. Sci. Commun. 163 (2000) 51–59.
According to Endnotestyle:
File Name: | Gen Comp Endocrinology.ens |
Last File Posting Date: | 10/19/2010 |

Bibliographic Sort Order: | Author-Year-Title |
Does anyone has the correct style for this journal?
Thanks,
Marianne
