I have the same problem, when i trying to add anew citation on my old document or when i make anew one, and when ttrying to make instant formatting on it doesnot and give me the following message.
The record number in the citation (number 162) doesn’t match the one in the library (number 1?). Do you have the right library open?
I think i open the right library i prepared it from word document because my library unfortunately deleted frommy PC, i prepare it from endnote tab in word-export to endnote-export travellling library.
from this time when i trying to add another citation it appear like that:
