Hello,
Frequent Endnotes user. After reinstalling X7 (Mac) I am not able to import RIS files from my usual online databases. Neither dropping the .ris into the Endnote window nor import command work; the ris file is simply not added, nothing happens (not even a dialouge box or error prompt.)
-I have confirmed Endnote is my default .ris program
-confirmed folder locations for filters are correct.
-X7 and computer generally are uptodate.
What could be the cause of this frusterating problem?
Thanks

So what happens when you select File >Import? And what is your OS?
Thanks for your reply
Selecting File > Import does nothing. (Program behaves as if the .ris file has been imported, all except nothing is imported.) I am running OSX 10.10.5. Any further thoughts?
Have you tried to drop the .ris-file on the EndNote-icon in “Dock” rather than in the EndNote-window? That helped me when I had similar problems.

Just to clarify, the sequence of commands was to test whether the Import File dialog box pops-up when you select File >Import >File. (Also assume you verified the location of the filters file by going to the Endnote toolbar’s and select Edit >Preferences >Folder Locations.) If the Import File dialog box does not pop up suggest you uninstall and reinstall Endnote and/or contact tech support:
