Hi, I need to identify references that I have accidentally filed into multiple groups. Is there any way of searching for references that are filed into more than one group in X6 or EndNote Web? Thanks for your help, Sue
Since references (speaking of X6 desktop) placed within one or more groups is just a “copy” from the main library, couldn’t you just conduct the search via “Seach the Whole Library”? Or do you mean you need to know which groups the searched references are residing?
If the latter, you could add a custom field to the references that correspond to a group name. Then when searching for the reference the search result displays the reference and the group - see this thread.
Thank you for your help, it was the latter. Successfully did as was described and identified the references I needed to, would not have had a clue how to do it, so thank you very much.
