Troubleshooting the export from Ebsco....2 issues

I have two problems when using the export option within Ebsco databases – 1)  EndNote does not register the correct reference type.  Instead of defaulting to “journal article,” it defaults to “film.”  Why is that happening.

and 2)  Foreign names with umlauts and such do not transfer to EndNote correctly.  Instead, I get garbled characters. 

Can someone help me with these issues?  Thanks!

  2. I am not sure on this one, but are they garbled or just not showing correctly in Endnote.  In preferences, make sure you are using a unicode compliant font (it will have unicode in the name).

You may find that this problem is resolved in the next version of EndNote.
