I am trying to insert citations into a document in word, but when I click insert citation - the library is listed as empty, and cannot find any of the citations I saved in the end note online version. No troubles with internet connectivity.

EndNote online: Commands appear on the Tools menu in Word, but the associated toolbar is missing ( http://endnote.com/kb/82620) below
If the EndNote online toolbar is not available, click the View menu > Toolbars and select the “EndNote” or “EndNote Web” toolbar.
Note: There is no toolbar in Word 2007/2010/2013/2016. There will be an “EndNote” or “EndNote Web” tab in the Ribbon.
Are you inserting using a desktop version or the online version. To switch from online to desktop http://endnote.com/kb/82605 (and the opposite for desktop to online).
