I suggest making the cursor jump to the next item below the last one deleted rather than to the top of the list when removing items from a group. It’s annoying having to scroll back to where you were in the list. Thanx.
and not just in groups, in the all references window as well!
Also, when adding references to a group, the program should not immediately switch to the group, or at least provide an option to prevent this behavior.
Imagine reviewing a larger number of reference and selecting or classifying references by assigning them to groups. It becomes cumbersome constantly having to switch back to the main window each time a reference is assigned to a group.
Thanks.
Yes I agree. Where you jump to after doing something seems in general counter intuitive and against coherent work flow principles and should be reviewed with an eye to injecting more intelligence.
“…Also, when adding references to a group, the program should not immediately switch to the group…”
This is something we hope to improve in the upcoming EndNote X2.01 free update patch.

What about "make the cursor go to the next item not the top of the list "? Any progress on this? It’s absolutely infuriating at the moment - surely this should be an easy bit of programming?
Could you give us an update on when we might expect a solution?
Amen, ditto, me too!
In response to Jasons email a ways down:
And was it part of the 2.0.1 release? If I hide a reference or delete a reference, it still goes back to the top of the library display?
