I recently added Endnote to my computer. Now, every time I use Microsoft Word and then close it – even if all I do before closing Word is to open and then close a document --, I get the message: “Changes have been made that affect the global template, normal.dot. Do you want to save those changes?”
Might this be caused by Endnote? I read that this problem can be caused by add-ins, and noticed that Word is now running the Endnote add-in “Endnote cwyw.dot.”
If Endnote is indeed causing my normal.dot template to change constantly, do I need to worry about this? In other words, is Endnote doing things to my normal template that will cause me grief? And if so, is there a way to avoid these problems? Or should I just turn off the warning message (which I know how to do) and not worry about it?
I am working in Windows XP and Word 2003.
