Hi, I’ve just upgraded from X2 to X4 in my Windows Vista. When I try to attach a file, Endnote shuts itself down. Can anyone please advise me to to solve this problem. Thanks.
Did you uninstall X2 before installing X4? If not, back up your EndNote library files, pdfs, and any modifications to the reference templates (export an .xml file copy), and output styles. Then uninstall X4, restart the computer; uninstall X2, restart the computer. Install X4, restart the computer; then install the patch which upgrades X4 to X4.0.2.
