APA 7, journal articles, capitol letters

When I copy or insert a bibliographical citation of a journal article in APA7 the capitols are removed from the journal title. Even when present in the saved version in the database. Is this an error? Is there a way to change it? Takes up A LOT of time to change manually.

This has everything to do with the “journal terms list” and the fact it usually gets automatically (often incorrectly) updated when you import records, if that is not turned off in preferences.

Check out this faq: Endnote

I changed them all in the journals term list - AND in the journal listing. And it is still not importing correctly in my word document. Changing the journal title from capitol letters to lower case.

What are your settings in this section of the APA7 style? Try “don’t replace” if the way you want to see it in the bibliography is the way it is the records themselves? Otherwise, what is in the corresponding column of the Journal terms list? When I have preferences import new records into my library from Pubmed, the full journal name is ususally the abbreviation and the 1st abbreviation may be full journal name, but different sources have different ways of listing the journal names.

and what does the template look like for Journals. Mine is italicized.

and here is some of my journal terms list.

I don’t have any template information but under APA7 I changed the preferences to “don’t replace” and that has done it. Thanks!
