CWYW Not Appearing in Ribbon (Endnote X7.7.1, Word 2016)

Hi all,

CWYW appears to have stopped working on my computer after using it for years. I opened MS Word today and there was no button on the ribbon for EndNote. I have not made any recent software changes to the system.

I initially tried checking the add-in in the MS Word add-in menu, but I found that it said “COM could not be run” or something like that. I checked the file location where the add-in was location and the ‘ResearchSoft’ directory was not there.

I tried the ‘Configure Endnote’ application, which said it was succesful but did nothing. Now I have just tried reinstalling EndNote and there is no CWYW add-in in Microsoft office, despite downloading a plug-in installer from EndNote AND trying the EndNote configuration.

This really is annoying so any help would be appreciated.
