Database Locked

On a regular basis, when I open my library I get a message to say the library is locked and no changes will be saved. I have managed to find the cause the problem - whenever I email a reference a little ‘process’ is saved in the computer system. I can find this in Windows Task Manager, under the Processes tab. EndNote appears to create a process for every email, so if I send 10 references to a colleague or student, there will be 10 processes listed. These seem to cause the library to become ‘locked’. I have to delete them, one by one, and then when I restart the library the problem is solved.

While it is great to have solution to the problem, it is still very annoying. Is there a way to prevent these processes from saving?
