This is an intermittent problem:
When I click to edit an in test citation (e.g., show only in bibliography) the editing tools I need are gray and I am not able to activate them.
Why is this so?
Hard to say as there might be compatibility or installation issues. What version of Endnot e, MS Word, and your computer’s operating system are you running? Have you reinstalled Endnote and updated the software with any applicable patches?

It has been reinstalled because I had the EN7 menu disappear, as many people have complained about. That problem is now fixed, but this is a come-and-go issue that only happens with some citations.
