Endnote Cite While you Write doesn't work

Hi everybody!

 I am using Endnote 7x  and Word 2011 for Macintosh and the Cite While you Write thing doesn’t work right. In the tool bar of endnote in the word document I can choose Insert Citation but it will not insert the citation in APA style like I set it up to, but like this: {Legenbauer, 2014 #6}. I already did some research on it and found that normally that is what only open office or pages should do, but not word. A bibliography wont show up either.

Any ideas?

Your instant formatting appears to have been turned off. To turn it back on go to the Endnote tab In the MS Word toolbar and select “Turn instant formatting on” (refer to attached image).

For Endnote X7 and Word 2008/2011: From the Tools menu go to the EndNote X7 menu and choose Turn Instant Formatting On.
