I would like to beta test as well.
I would like to be a beta tester. Thanks
You might not be a good canidate for beta testing if you are in a rush to use the CWYW plug-in for a '“real-world” production document. Proceed with caution.
I agree but for one invaluable EndNote Feature. Papers 3 seems not to allow one to create custom reference formats. My principal professional organization, Society for Simulation in Healthcare, utilizes a custom format for proposal revisions. I utilize Papers 3 alongside EndNotes, as P3 is my go-to e-reader/highlighter app for journal articles. So, EndNotes for manuscripts and P3 for reading.

TR has taken a very good strategy. First it promised to released plug-in for mac by the fall (i.e. end of september) , then by sep/oct. The company has already understood that it will not be able to develop it within this deadline; so they should apologize for their lack of commitment and responsibility. Instead, they have brought a lolly-pop for us i.e. ‘beta version’. Now we, very loyal users, are being very busy with beta version and have completely forgotten about the full version. TR will definitely enjoy to see that the customers are no longer asking for a complete solution, its a quite tricky way to extend a time line. Bravo TR!
I have tested several beta versiins of EN since before OS X. I would appreciate being enrolled in this beta testing activity.
Given the lack of transparency regarding this issue from TR, and at the risk of incurring the wrath of the Endnote developers, I’d like to turn everyone’s attention to a piece of freeware called Mendeley. Hearing about my citation frustrations, a friend of mine recommended it, and so I thought I’d check it out. I can report that I am delightedly surprised by how well it works. I honestly didn’t think there were any good alternatives to Endnote. But I have to say that Mendeley seems to do the job. It reminds me a lot of Endnote, it can import your EN library, works with your browser, etc, but most importantly, it supports Office 2016 for OSX. So just keep in mind that if TR doesn’t come through any time soon, all hope isn’t lost.
I have thoroughly tested all alternatives to EN, but I think EN is still the software of choice for serious use.
Why is that, bengi? Could you elaborate please?
I would like to become a beta tester for Endnote X7 for Office 2016 for Mac
Hi,
I would like to get a BETA access to try and feedbacl on CWYR for Word Mac 2016
Thanks
Yes I’m using mendeley and they recently lounched an android application wich is great :). I couldn’t see a searching feature as in endnote but I can import my library from endnote and update my library in mendeley.
It is very interesting that Mendeley can work with office previev 2016 and EndNote cannot work.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that the Mendeley 7 product is still in development officially. I’m not sure I’d use it in an official “production” capacity.

I see there’s a bit of misinformation floating around regarding Mendeley. I only just discovered it myself, and so I am by no means an expert, but I’d like to clarify a few things.
Like bengi suggests, EN might well have some features that Mendely doesn’t have. But so far, the only feature I seem to be missing is the smart groups, which really isn’t that big of a deal if you ask me. If there is something else, then surely, someone better acquainted with EN/Mendely can enlighten us.
ademirtas, what do you mean, you couldn’t find the search function? In the Mendely desktop application, it’s right up there in the upper right corner. If you’re talking about searching for a reference from Word, you just click “Insert or Edit citation”, which is (temporarily, apparently) located on the Addons panel, and a small search window will pop up.
As far as Mendely being “in development” and as such, not suitable for use in an official production capacity, that’s not how it works. As with a lot of other software, there are several different builds available. There is a development version, which includes the latest “experimental” features, but that comes with the added risk of bugs, because it has not yet been thouroughly tested. BUT there is also a “stable” version, which is perfectly safe to use in an “official production capacity” or whatever the case may be.
Please don’t get me wrong. I love Endnote and would definitely prefer to use it over Mendely, if for no other reason, because I’ve used it for years, and know it really well. But currently, they don’t support Word 2016, and I’d say the advantages of the plethora of added features and improved usability of Word 2016 (as compared to Word 2011) far outweighs the potential disadvantages (if in fact, there are any) of using an alternative reference manager. I’m just saying, if, like me, you’re working on something and cannot afford to wait, then Mendely seems to be a good alternative.
