EndNote Integration with Sharepoint

Dear Forum,

I wish to upload the enl files to the sharepoint for which I have few questions. I will appreciate if some one can answer them.

  1. Is it possible to upload the “enl” files in sharepoint and read the same from share point without installing the endnote client on local machines of the users.

  2. if yes what are the requisities and how to proceed.

Any quick help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Do you know anything new ?

Arne

See this thread which suggests that you can “share” the enlx version of library via Sharepoint, but not “USE” an .enl and DATA folder version of the library on Sharpoint.  For more information I would suggest contacting Tech support though.  There might be further updated information.

(Note added in edit) all users wanting to open a library would need Endnote to do so.)

Hello:

The information Leanne shared is still correct. It is possible to post an EndNote library in compressed form for sharing, but users would need to then save the library locally to their own machine before attempting to open the library with EndNote.

Libraries cannot be open and run directly from Sharepoint or any other “cloud” location. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Is there any plans on the roadmap to permit the storing and modificaiton of EndNote librarys in SharePoint by multiple individuals?
