When updating MS Word (Office 365) a message popped up displaying “Endnote invalid pointer”. I don’t remember if there was an option to click on OK or not. Nevertheless, Word updated successfully.
Recently, I had to reconfigure CWYW in Word as it disappeared from Word menu. I recovered it by starting Confugure EndNote.exe and it is working properly now. Does the message above has anything to do with CWYW in Word?
I am on EndNote 21.2 and Windows 11 24H2 x64.
Possibly. Especially if Endnote was open during the update, but even if not, the update could affect the folder the endnote menu tab would reside in, and rerunning endnote config would restore the endnote addin menu in word’s appropriate folder.
