Error on inserting citation

Hi there

My sudden problem is that the work ducument was not be able to insert right citation and reference, which is like this (March, 2008 #148) instead of ((Booker, 2008; Fahrer, 2013; Peart, 2004). And there is not reference copy on the list of reference. 

Can you let me know how to solve this error. I am looking forwrd to your reply.

I suspect it looks like this {March, 2008 #148} with curly brackets?  

If you look on the endnote ribbon, you will find that the instant formatting has been inadvertantly turned off.  Turn it back on, and it should autoupdate.  If not put in a new citation or hit the “update citations and bibliography” option on that same toolbar/ribbon.
