Insert Citation in Word

Hi,

I used to have EndNote 6 and I uninstalled it, and now reinstalled X7. I run Windows 7. Now I created a new library and I can insert citations by copying the citation from EndNote and pasting it into the Word document, but I would prefer to be able to use the “Insert Citation” button in Word on the EndNote Menu (Ribbon?). When I click the button it does not see any library. How do I set my current library from which I am cutting and pasting citations as the default library Word sees?

Thanks,

Jonathan

Hello Jonathan,

The Insert Citation dialog is a Search tool. If you have your library open, you can type in the name of an Author (or another search term) and click Find. This will bring up the search results from your open library where you can select and insert the correct citation.
