I’m using X3. I recently downloaded a trial for Adobe Reader X PRO 30 days. I have PDF attachements for every reference in Endnote, and of course I like to open them from Endnote. Before I installed XPRO, and while I used XPRO, I had no problem opening attached articles. But once the 30 day period was over and I uninstalled XPRO, I started getting, “The URL [puts the file name here] could not be launced.”
I’ve tried reinstalling both adobe reader X and endnote. I’ve tried everything I can think of. I can still open open PDF files just fine everywhere else. And I’ve checked the endnote library to make sure the PDF’s stored there are intact. Everything works except opening the PDF straight from Endnote.
