Please help. Strange formatting in references now showing up.

Hi all,

I apologize if this has been asked before, but I could not find that it has. I had a few glitches last night with Word 8 and EN, then thought everything was okay. Now, when I insert a reference into the document, insead of McLeroy, 1988, it gives the following:

{McLeroy, 1988 #211},

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

that isn’t strange at all.  What you are seeing are the temporary citations inserted by endnote.  You must have the “instant formatting” disabled/off.  What version of word are you using?

Thank you, Leanne! I’m using Windows 8 and Word 2010. I appreciate your help so much - going to go fix that right now  :smiley:
