Track changes and EndNote X7.1

Hi, I’m using EndNote X7.1 and the latest version of Word and had no problems for months. Just recently however, when I’m editing a document (using track changes to highlight my edits), as soon as a add a reference from EndNote the track changes function turns off. Thus not tracking any subsequent edits I do.

Is this a known bug? How can I fix it?

There’s an upgrade to Endnote 7.5 – go to the Endnote toolbar and select Help > Check for Updates. (Be aware however that a user reported a problem with losing reference counts after updating.)

In lieu of updating or if the problem persists after updating then suggest contacting tech support.

The reference counts will still be there. However, on some systems with higher resolutions, it may be necessary to adjust the Display Font settings of EndNote to see them. Please see this post for more information:
