Unable to connect to Library of Congress

I get an error message that says something like “Endnote has waited too long.” I have a valid internet connection. I have tried temporarily disabling my firewall; I have looked at my firewall logs and Endnote is not being blocked. When I go directly to LOC via m web browser, their site is working. Any ideas? (Other aspects of Endnote are working just fine from PubMed.)

Endnote X8, current version, on Windows 10

Endnote X7.7.1 – Windows   I have no problem with retrieving books from the  Library of Congress… so unless it was temporary…
