X5 CWYW Causing Word 2010 to Freeze

This happens with office 2013 as well. So obviously (in case it was not clear) the fault lays with endnote. No solutions, offered here, just a ‘buy the new version’ which is rediculous. 

Any suggestions for us who can’t use the programme properly now?

Thanks Micheee for posting your solution which works good.

Click the format bibliography -> instant formatting -> turn off. Then go to format bibliography tab and change the temporary delimter to ( and ) rather than { and }. Now just edit the page number or ebook location inline instead of using “edit & manage citations” in the Word ribbon. 

Then when you want your reference list updated go into EndNote select all the references you want “highlight blue.” Then click edit -> copy formatted. Then go to Word and paste your reference list.

Hi,

I have updated to the version 7.5. 

I believe the problem is fixed in the new version. I have used it successfully for a few days and have noticed no lags or freezing. Also there is no error rejected by callee messages.

I am still using Word 2010.

I have a couple of users having the problem with Word 2010 and EndNote X7.5.  We’re all using the same database through Sync, and thus far only two out of 10 users have reported the problem.  I’m encouraging them to switch off CWYW, but they all like the feature - a solution rather than a work-around would be very welcome.
